Hey there! I’m glad your here, for all intended purposes I have chosen to go by Irene here on this blog. I don’t know if I will always go by a pseudonym but for the time being it is the best way to be myself authentically. For the majority of my life I have felt the need to be who everyone else wanted I was never safe to be me and that’s something I still struggle with today. A year ago we took a chance on something, a promise for a better life. Within a few months that better life turned into the complete opposite and it became a nightmare. However it was within this darkness that the light was found and for the first time in 15 years I walked back into a church with my family. Here I plan to share the journey as my family continues to learn and grow in faith. This is a journey of climbing back up from rock bottom and pursuing a life where we are not just surviving, we’re living.
